Bio

Chris Reyes began her career with the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority (Tampa International Airport) in June of 2019 as the Risk and Claims Manager.

hris has an extensive background in the insurance industry. She began her career as an Administrative Assistant for a local agent. After graduating from the University of South Florida, she became a Claims Adjuster for a large national carrier. Chris was then a Marketing Director for an Insurance Restoration Contractor, a Consultant, and Field Adjuster, working for herself and a Florida-based insurance company. In 2004, Chris opened an independent full-service insurance agency that handled Personal and Commercial Lines and Financial Services. After successfully running First Heritage Insurance for almost 11 years, she sold the agency in January 2015. She then worked for a large independent broker in Private Client Services before beginning her career as the Risk and Claims Manager for the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority at Tampa International Airport.

A third-generation Tampa native, Chris graduated from USF with a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems. While at USF, she was an Alpha Delta Pi and served as a Student Government Senator for the College of Business.
